By downloading, installing, or using the 30K Challenge mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
30K Challenge is a fitness tracking and social competition app that:
- Tracks active calories burned through integration with Apple Health
- Displays user progress on a competitive leaderboard
- Sends motivational notifications
- Allows users to share their progress on social media
- Challenges users to burn 30,000 calories per month
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the App.
4. Account Registration
- You create an account using Sign in with Apple
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
5. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
- Upload false or misleading information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use the App to distribute spam or malicious content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems to access the App without permission
- Impersonate another person or entity
6. Health & Fitness Disclaimer
⚠️ IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTICE:
- • The App is for informational and motivational purposes only
- • The App is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice
- • Consult your physician before starting any exercise program
- • The calorie data is based on Apple Health data and may not be 100% accurate
- • We are not responsible for any injuries or health issues that may result from using the App
- • Listen to your body and exercise safely within your limits
- • If you experience dizziness, pain, or discomfort during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention
7. Data Collection and Use
By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy, including:
- Active calorie data from Apple Health
- Profile information (name, profile picture)
- Usage data and analytics
- Push notification preferences
8. Apple Health Integration
- The App requests read access to your Active Energy data from Apple Health
- You can revoke this access at any time through iOS Settings
- We only read calorie data; we do not write data to Apple Health
- Calorie tracking requires Apple Health access; core features will not work without it
9. Leaderboard and Competition
- Leaderboard rankings are based on monthly active calories burned
- Rankings update in real-time as data syncs from Apple Health
- Your name and calorie count are visible to other users on the leaderboard
- You can withdraw from the competition by deleting your account
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy or reliability of calorie data
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Security of data transmission
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for any injuries, health issues, or damages resulting from use of the App
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (which is $0 for free users)
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through in-app notifications or by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
